Discover the Wines of Argentina (Hertford)
Argentina is one of the world's most exciting wine-producing countries. With a tradition of wine tasting not shared buy other South American countries it historically retained 90% of its output but, thanks to innovation, investment and huge improvements in quality it is now a major player on the world stage. Famed for Malbec it is also home to a range of other fabulous, full-bodied, wines including blends and single varietal examples of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Argentina's leading white wine is the wonderfully refreshing and aromatic Torrontes, closely followed by rich and oaky Chardonnay.
Join us for this special tasting as we explore some of the finest wines from Salta and Mendoza, and its sub-region, the Uco Valley. We will taste single vineyard examples of wines from leading, and boutique, winemakers and finish with a 'hard to find' late-harvest Torrontes.
Something to which to look forward to in the New Year, this tasting evening also makes a great Christmas gift idea for only £30.
All tastings include at least seven wines, sourced locally so you can find them if you like them, tasting notes, a tutored presentation and use of professional ISO tasting glasses.
