In The Pink - An Evening of Rose (St Albans)
There was a time when rosé was regarded as a bit of an afterthought – a by-product of red wine making and neither one thing nor the other. How things have changed. Sales and consumption of rose have rocketed in the past ten years, so much so, that the French now drink more rosé than white wine. Rosé can be made from any red grape variety and the styles vary from full and fruity to pale, refreshing and very fashionable. There’s also sparkling and sweet versions and even pink port! The better stuff is made by specialist rose producers and the choice, and quality, is a good as it’s ever been.
Join us in August to taste a range of roses from France, Spain, Australia, England and more, as we select at least seven different wines and understand more about the different styles and grape varieties that work best for rosé. Perfect for summer and not just for the girls – the ‘Brosé Phenomenon’ really is a thing for the guys as well!
All wines are sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them. No previous experience is necessary and full tasting notes, tutored tasting and use of professional tasting glasses is included. This one-evening tasting also makes a great gift idea for just £27.50.
