Looking Behind the Label - Great Grapes Make Great Wine (Hitchin)
Many of the world's most famous wines are labelled with the name of the place in which they are made - think Chianti, Rioja, Barolo, Saint-Emilion and Sancerre. That may have worked for hundreds of years but, with competition from straight-talking 'New World' countries, there is a new found curiosity to find out more about the grapes in the bottle. Join us in Hitchin when we go 'Behind the Label' and taste some well known wines made from varieties such as Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Grenache, Nebbiolo and Cortese. Even if you don't recognise the grapes, you'll know the wines.
Don't miss this chance to enjoy some familiar wines and find out what's in them! No previous wine tasting experience is necessary and this tasting also makes a great Gift for only £27.50.
All tastings feature wines sourced locally, so you can find them easily if you like them, tasting notes, a tutored tasting and use of professional ISO tasting glasses.
