World of Wine 'Tour de France' (St Albans)
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wine tasting on France. The greatest quality wine producing country in the world is home to numerous regions and wine styles, and the main challenge is what to leave in and what to leave out.
Our tour will take in The Loire Valley where we'll look at 'Cremant' style wines and Chenin Blanc and then head south to Burgundy, where we'll learn about the famous Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines before continuing south via Beaujolais into the Rhone Valley to sample the Greanache and Syrah-based Rhone wines. Then on to Bordeaux for some classic, and modern, Cabernet/Merlot blends. Along the way we'll also discover other regions including Alsace and the vast and hugely improved Southern regions of Languedoc-Roussillon and Provence.
This wine tasting evening also makes a great Gift for only £30 for Birthdays and other occasions.
All tastings include at least seven wines, sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, tutored tasting and use of professional tasting glasses.
