World of Wine Australia, New Zealand & South Africa (St Albans)
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wine tasting on Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, to taste intense, complex and powerful wines from the other side of the world.
Australia is home to varied and very different wine-making regions. From the hot Barossa Valley which produces rich, chocolatey and peppery Shiraz, via the cooler Margaret River for elegant Cabernets and Sauvignon Blancs to Clare/Eden Valley, famous for its deliciously crisp dry Rieslings. In this tasting we will try great wines from the very best locations in Australia.
New Zealand has raised the bar for Sauvignon Blanc and now, in many eyes, has wines that rival that of the French. We will taste some of the best Sauvignon Blanc wines that New Zealand produce. Pinot Noir is another wine at which New Zealand excels, with Central Otago and Martinborough leading the way. You won’t be disappointed.
And, South Africa is probaly the country that has displayed the greatest improvement in the quality of its wines in recent years. Stand by for some cool climate Chenin Blanc and full on Pinotage!
This wine tasting evening also makes a great Gift for only £27.50 for Christmas, birthdays and other occasions.
All tastings include at least seven wines, sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, tasting notes, tutored tasting and use of professional tasting glasses.
