The A to Z of Grape Varieties Part 1 (St Albans)
SORRY - THIS TASTING HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL BE REARRANGED LATER IN 2020. Did you know that there are over 1,400 different varieties of grape used in winemaking? And yet, asked to list them, we would do well to come up with more than a dozen. So, join us on this fascinating evening when we start to work our way through the alphabet of grapes and taste at least seven wines made from grapes beginning with letters A-F - some familiar, some little more obscure.
The provisional line-up includes Albarino, Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Dornfelder, Furmint (and one beginning with E).
This wine tasting evening also makes a great gift idea for just £30.
All tastings include at least seven wines, sourced locally so you can find them if you like them, tasting notes, a tutored presentation and use of professional ISO tasting glasses.
